Mysterious Moth

As I was headed out for another day of fishing I had to make a detour to the gas station to fill up.  When I arrived I reached down to grab the pump and I noticed a extremely large moth.  With my fascination of shiny things I grabbed my camera and was able to snap a few pics.  This moth had to of had a 4 inch wingspan and a body that was an inch in diameter.  I have no idea what species it is?  If anyone knows and they could let me know that would be great.
